how old is your computer? D: I know the latest update for my old laptop with Windows XP had Service Pack 3.

Yes, actually! 8D  Also, while it can be limited in many ways, it’s pretty amazing as an art-making tool: I think one of my favourite things about it is the stabilizer tool which helps make drawn lines smoother. (HOWEVER! there is also a free program called LazyNezumi which apparently works in a lot of software, I haven’t tried it personally. it is, sadly, only available for Windows)

There’s also super nice blending and various brush customizing options and textures, you could get OpenCanvas style watercolour effects and whatnot. SAI is ideal if you want to draw and paint things, but if you want to do stuff like advanced editing and whatnot, you should probably try GIMP or such. (maaan the interface is a pain in the ass x__x)

There’s also a program similar to SAI which I haven’t tried, Manga Studio Debut, and it costs $49,99 and is also available on Mac. (I don’t know which version of Manga Studio DiscorderlyConduct uses but daaaang look at that purdy art.)
