I agree, I liked the movie for the songs really, and I really liked Francour and Emile somewhat (and yeah the monkey) it just seemed like they wanted to tell a lot of stories, so instead of one good one we got 5 “eh” ones jumbled together

Yeah! They could have had just… had a one main plot and a subplot or whatever, sigh. It’s not like it’s an intricate mystery story or anything! You can tell where there were different writers with their own ideas of progressing the plot and characterisation and not quite getting there. And it’s sad that all of the characters are kind of flat, I wanted to like them, but either they’re not explored properly or they make inexplicable decisions (who the hell is responsible for the writing of Lucille?) and it’s just. Blah, more focus would have been great!
